Award to Attend Workshop on ToxTracker

PETA Science Consortium International is pleased to announce the winner of its award to attend the ToxTracker hands-on training workshop organised by Toxys. The training, which takes place at Toxys in Oegstgeest, the Netherlands, from 12-13 October 2023, provides attendees the opportunity to learn about the ToxTracker genotoxicity assay and gain hands-on experience with this method.

Ishita Virmani is a PhD student in environmental health sciences at Masaryk University, the Czech Republic, where she is also a scientist at the Research Centre for Toxic Compounds in the Environment. She was formerly a scientist at the Centre for Alternatives to Animal Testing at Johns Hopkins University, US, where she used three-dimensional brain organoids to study chemical-induced developmental neurotoxicity.
