The EURL ECVAM strategy for achieving 3Rs impact in the assessment of toxicokinetics and systemic toxicity describes a strategy to use modern test methods to reduce the use of animals in chemical assessment and improve human health protections. It identifies opportunities to use in silico and in vitro tools to measure and integrate information on absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) of substances as well as areas where further development work is needed. This report proposes a foundation for a risk assessment approach based on human data.
